Rules of Court

Rules of Court are procedural laws implemented by the Supreme Court of the Philippines under its constitutional powers. These rules are drafted to expedite the administration of justice and improve the uniformity of decisions. They carry the same force and effect as law and are divided into different aspects of procedure, ranging from criminal and civil procedure to evidence and special proceedings.
