Department of Justice (DOJ) Issuances primarily regulate the prosecution arm of the government, providing for rules for procedure, as well as policy direction for the national prosecution service. These issuances also help guide and direct the legal community and government agencies as to the government’s interpretation of gray-areas in the law, and as to which entities or bodies have a better right or jurisdiction. Some of the different categories under DOJ Issuances include: Department Circulars, Department Orders, DOJ Legal Opinions, Memorandum Circulars, DOJ Advisories.
